Services :: Employee Assistance Programming

Employee Assistance Programming (EAP) provides assistance to both employer and employees when personal issues interfere with job performance. By working with employers and their mental health providers, we are able to help employees work through problems on the job so that experienced employees are retained and work quality improves.

We provide assessment, treatment, and referral to appropriate resources for employees outside of their work hours. With appropriate releases of information signed, verification of participation in therapy can be provided to the employer. Specific personal information is held in confidence.

Intake/Assessment

The first step in working with an employee is to determine what services will be helpful and how to assist them in contacting those services. We are able to work with a wide range of issues from anger management, addictions, depression, marital/family problems, etc. If other resources would be more helpful, then a referral is made and we act as a case manager to provide documentation and follow-up to the employer.

Supervisory training

We provide training to companies in the areas of documentation, disciplinary procedures, and referral. We also discuss what to expect when an employee is referred to a treatment program and explain follow up procedures. On site training can be tailored to the specific needs of supervisors using such approaches as role play, audio visual and written material.

Consultation

We are available by phone, e-mail, or a personal visit on-site to offer suggestions and/or direction in the handling of a specific problem or issue on the job.
